Once you put something on the internet, it's there forever, it seems. I wonder what he would have done differently, had he known that he was creating a viral video.

I liked this video. I liked the message given and most importantly the promise that was kept. The forum may not have been the best but a point was made and promise kept. We need more parents who mean what they say. Yes he could have given the laptop away but think about the range fees he saved and the gas and so on. As a father of a 20 year old girl who went through similar things I say right on (nice shot man- filter). We shoot targets with pics of terrorists who most have never faced or will never see, hell this guy took out an actual unfriendly. It was used to attack him and he took it out. He got his angst out without physical brutality on his daughter, and got some useful target practice in. If I had done what this girl did my father (who is a green beret from the vietnam era) would have put me through a wall, literally.

OBTW - CPS did inspect their home after the video went big time.

The irony was interesting; he did what he chastised his daughter for doing i.e. forgetting that what goes online stays online and the internet is not a place to air family disputes.

There was a man in Alabama I believe who killed two people because they "defriended" his daughter on Facebook.

Facebook is a cancer. And yes, I have a Facebook page.

This is why I avoid Facebook. The only reason that I've not deleted mine is because my mother likes to see all of her children when she logs on. I haven't signed in in almost 2 years.
