List it for what you paid, then let yourself be bargained down 20 bucks or so. They save $20 on a gun, you get most of your $ back and learned something.

I like S&W. My hubby shoots Sig's. The sigs are to large for my hands.

I like the 380 for cc. it is small & light, but I can handle the recoil. I tried the j-frame light revolvers. I couldn't hold them for the recoil.

I own the BG380. I held the diamondback 380 and it felt great too. I went with S&W because I am familiar stripping, etc. the trigger is a little long, but I practice.

One thing that was pointed out is that BG380 will fire when the trigger is pulled. If there is a FTF, just pull the trigger again and the hammer drops again without ejecting a shell.

I like the M&P 9. It has the adjustable back straps.

Yes, this does happen. I've had 4 out of 6 rounds in a revolver do nothing, but the second time around it went off.

I still think Laura needs to try a PF9.

I just wanted to pass along what I thought was a good point on the FTF. Some discussion about the difference between revolvers & semiauto is the FTF. The revolver: pull & if it doesn't go boom, just pull again, but most of the semi autos require a manual slide rack. It swayed me toward the S&W BG380 just because it made sense to me.
Yes, I have had several FTF & they all fired the second pull. but from what I've been reading here & on the S&W forum, it is probably the ammo. I haven't had the opportunity to shoot as often as I have wanted so I haven't tried ammo other than the initial pack that I purchased with the pistol.

Another thing that I considered, and now we have several is 9mm. The price of ammo from cheap to expensive: 22lr, 9mm, 38 & 380, . . . . I went to a 380 for cc, but all 5 of us enjoy a trip to the range & when we go we shoot a lot. Therefore we shoot mostly 22LR & 9mm.

I took some advice about staying with 9mm, but it didn't work for me. I kept mine & shoot those @ the range!

I have never seen this happen. I have only had 2 FTFs and they were both in semi-autos when I was somewhat new to reloading. Rack and Roll in that case.

In an article I read recently, this FTF issue was attributed to primers that were a bit too hard for the firing pin, so the 2nd trigger pull worked.

Thanks to all for your suggestions. Again, I keep coming back to the Walther in my mind. I've spent some time reading about the gun, and so far on paper it really impresses me. I'll let ya'll know what I finally do end up with

I really like the M&P as well. It's my next gun to get one my guns to get list.

XDs and Glocks are not the most easily carried because they have wide frames (double stack mags) and slides. Stick with a single stack magazine and it will be easier to hide comfortably.

Well, I just ordered a Walther PPK/S - ENGRAVED I'd say that's a proper gun for a lady

It's a single stack, smallish and slim. Now it's time to accessorize

buyers remorse is the worst

if you chose an xd 40 over a ppk, i wouldn't now downgrade to a .380. if all your looking for is a slimmer grip i'd take another look at the P239, it has a single stack mag so the grip profile is slimmer. if you like 1911's i'd seriously consider a kimber ultra which you can later get a shortened trigger, lady specific slim grips and i think a smaller beavertail from the factory. kimber used to call this 'the small hands package'. you should also consider the hk p2000. i own a p239 9mm, p239 gen II 357 sig, p2000 9mm and kimber ultra, and my girlfriend (who has small hands and skinny fingers) prefers my kimber ultra II any day of the week.

if you go to kimber's site and see the solo, i would not consider it despite its compactness, the ergonomics are bad and people with small hands have a hard time pulling the slide back.

i had a bursa 380, and it felted very good in hand. shot real good too. traded for larger cal. the new ruger LC9 is also a good choice. be careful with the micro 1911's , some will have ftf, fte, use ball ammo . most will say the commander w/4/14 in. bbl. is the smallest to go with. i had a officers model and a kimber cdp which shot ok. i'm looking at the ruger LCP in 9mm. good luck shopping.

Give us a range report after you get it. I have the same issues with CC and tote a Taurus TCP 738.
