Shaved again, just to keep it neat for awhile...
Then? Growing the bastage back... I liked having a long viking goatee. It's part of my persona. I have only been clean shaven like this twice in 23 years...
The girls are digging it though, they say I look younger, I say they're full of it.

Re: Facial hair?
About 10 years ago, I grew a mustache/goatee combo, but kept it close with one of those beard trimmer/groomer things. I had to stay looking professional and couldn't let it get too scraggly. My wife liked how it looked, so I kept it for a couple years.
Then I went through a career change (long story) and decided to ditch it so I could look neater - and younger - for prospective employers.
Then a couple years later I decided to grow it back again, since my wife said she liked how I looked.
But then she decided she didn't like how scratchy I was if I wanted some kissin' and such. Plus it just became annoying to me - made my face itchy.
So I've been clean-shaven ever since.
The fun part of removing a beard/mustache combo is to do it in stages to see how you would look with some other formation. For example, I first shaved off just the center of my chin, leaving behind the big biker `stache, like Paul Teutel Sr. My wife said, "oh jeez, you look like a scary escaped convict." I must say, it really did make me look like a pretty sketchy character.
Then I trimmed just the ends, leaving a regular mustache. Unfortunately, I then looked like a cheesy `70s porn star. And not necessarily the good kind of porn star, if ya know what I mean. So then I got rid of all of it.

Re: Facial hair?
TC is correct! I went with a "Guy Fawkes" thing when I was grooming, and I thought.. "SAAYYY! I CAN PULL THAT OFF!"
Then I shaved it all the way...

I like to keep my facial hair thin. When I do, I look like this:

Without the facial hair, I look like this:

So, then.... shaving your face causes 2 feet of growth on your head?

This is pretty much how I look with my goatee:

And without it:
