Goats are a hardy animal, and help keep the field grass low, which helps SPOT predatory animals... I think "zones" in terms of a self preservation farm, with fruit/nut trees on the outer ring, moving inward to the Home itself.

Actually goats are not good for grass they would rather eat something much rougher like your wife's rose bushes or even blackberries, I have even seen them take down small Catalpa trees and eat the bark and small branches.

Have to get out of this gall-durned subdivision to even think about goats/chickens.....curse you HOA! (Husband made the call on that--one I disagreed with, but here we are!)

RE: Goat. Oh God, I miss that.......the Jamaican and Peruvian restaurants back home did art with them. Its such a unique tasting meat. So hungry now.....

Agreed! Jerk Goat is SPECTACULAR! With Joffari Rice, and yams? (drools)

Middle Eastern style goat is sooooo tasty when slow cooked with the proper oils, and spices.
