It was really tough for me to leave it on the shelf at Walmart on Sunday morning, as I have no experience with that stuff and I know the Tulammo is somewhat sketchy to use in pistols because of the metal casing. So what's the scoop on the PPU ?
PPU is Privi Partizan and is brass cased unlike the tula and is considered fine for a lower cost ammo. I've shot a fair amount (maybe 400 rds) or so through my P220 with no complaints. Personally I prefer PMC but i've never had a problem with it =I'd choose it over Remington UMC

Midway has 22 LR for $0.10/round with shipping. 500 rounds (10 50 round boxes), limit one. I just ordered some.

+1
I've used PPU in my Colt 1911s, and Beretta PX4s quite often...the 9mm and .45ACP has always been reliable, and it's fairly clean. My Colt Mustang .380ACP won't cycle Tula reliably...PPU works fine in that pistol too - haven't been able to find any of it in any caliber lately........sigh.

Cabela's has 7.62 x 39 in stock, at $6.99/20, with a limit of five boxes. Not the best price, but reasonable and in stock. Shipping to Chantilly was only $9, which beat's Midway's shipping charges by almost 50%.

PPU is decent ammo. I'm not a big fan of PMC because I reload and don't like their brass. Thus, I prefer PPU. Most UMC is junk IMHO.

Dang. Well, might be worth checking later, because sometimes it pops back up when orders get denied or they cancel orders because people made multiple orders to bypass the limit.
