Standing and fighting does not mean a poster on your lawn. Get active. NRA-PVF is already gearing up for next year, lets do the same! Drop a dime, go to your (tea party/liberty/republican) meetings now, rather than later.

A war of attrition is a losing battle. We give them one more state if we run. If we continue to do that, we are talking removing 2A by amendment.

1984 (G. Orwell) is more relevant today than ever before.

We need a message that rings with the masses for the long term, like the democraps' message of "we give you poop". Not sure what is a good one, but maybe along the lines that we are going broke because we arent working, and while we cannot supply freebees, we certainly can develop the economy.

We retained Obenshain as Attorney General. This is very good as he will prosecute only where legal, rather than for agenda (hopefully).

We still have a majority in the legislature, so we can put a curb on crap.

The last one is an ugly one: one day we will have to refresh our trees.

Stay vigilant! I am stuck here for now, so I am doing what I can!

check the numbers again, we lost the AG...

(Though Mecklenburg is at 22/24 and Rockingham is at 29/30 and both are predominantly Obenshain...so maybe it could be enough to swing it back?)

holy poop! Obenshain won 49.90% to 49.89%.

Surely there will be a recount.

I'm only a part time resident in VA so I couldn't vote, but I intend to move here permanently in the future so I followed the elections with great concern. Very dissapointing! I joined the NRA this morning.

Something to ponder...

People have been pouring IN to VA from CA(10k), CT(10k), NY(53k), PA(29k), NJ(29k), MD(20k)...

...while fleeing OUT of VA to FL(23k), GA(11K), NC(39k), TN(10k).

One quick housekeeping issue to address. I'm trying to moderate comments today on a very hot subject while on my lunch break. Which means my time is at a premium.

For those posters who think it's cute or funny to post racial comments about the President, or anyone else for that matter, I have this to say...

Go post them elsewhere. If that's all you have to bring to the discussion then you can find a different forum to express them.

To everyone else, carry on and thanks for your comments.

Yours truly,

Moderator Dude.

East Texas starts to look real good.

I'm originally from Beaumont, looking for property on salt water between Sabine and Galveston. My Sister and I are buying some land up country as a hunting camp and sanctuary from hurricaines...

I gave some serious thought to moving, but it's not going to be any time soon. I have to much debt based on my current income level. If I leave the DCA, I am looking at my salary getting cut in half or even a third pretty much everywhere else in the country. I have at least 5 years before I could afford a hit to move somewhere else.

Not to mention, it's not fair to have to run. I would rather stay and fight for what I believe in. Liberalism (socialism) is a cancer and if you ignore it, it will kill you.

And I can't help be feel irritated about Sarvis. If those 145,000 plus people didn't waste their vote on someone who would have never won, the republican party would have had a landslide victory.

Evidently even libertarians believed the democrap vomit flooding the airwaves.
Several here sounded like Woopie Goldberg and were proud of it.

Sad.

Sorry man, Sarvis supporters would have voted 2:1 for TM if Sarvis wasn't in the race. Sarvis helped the Cooch get closer.

Don't confuse him with facts, Shotgun. It just makes him spit more venom. I tried showing them voting records of a certain candidate and was accused of being a drone. LOL

Nah, I know there's a few who refuse to leave the bubble, but everyone else is fine. The great thing about elections is that there is plenty of data to go through by organizations with far greater research budgets than I have. You can either choose to accept the data and learn from it for the next election or not.
