Some reason I enjoy all versions of Adagio for Strings, even Tiesto's house version of it. This and Lux Aeterna are simply epic composites.

Another fantastic song.

Damaged - Assemblage 23

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kilcsodvF6U

I am merely the product
Of the life that I've lived
An amalgam of sorrows
And the wisdom they give
But the weight has grown heavy
And its dragging me down
It's so hard not to sink now
But I don't want to drown

CHORUS
I'm damaged
But somehow I've managed
This far
But I don't know if I can find my way back home
I'm damaged
But somehow I've managed
For now
But I don't think I can face this on my own

There is beauty in hardship
There are poems in grief
There are trials we must go through
Though they may shake our beliefs

But I don't know how I got here
Lost in the cynical dusk
Set adrift in the worry
That I've no one to trust

(CHORUS)

If to suffer is holy
I'll take my share of the pain
I can swim through this sadness
If there's something to gain

I can reach for the surface
And try to pull myself free
But the last thing I want is
To drag you down here with me

(CHORUS)

--------------------------------------------------
I think that everyone is damaged in some way. The ones that look normal may be the most damaged of us all. Enjoy
"Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves."

Pull up a floor tile. That really gets the cold air (and dust) moving. :ill:

I heard these guys the other day on WAMU. I think I'm in love with the girl with the longer/wavy hair:

And then I just randomly wanted to hear this. The best part begins at 3:02 with the lyrics "always pushed away, always nothing...":

And this:

And finally, something to wind down:

I first met Wayne at Galax back in the mid '70's... dude makes it look so effortless.

That place was wide open back then, a real eye opener for a youngun.

I used to listen to WAMU, but a new station started interfering with the signal. Gary Henderson, "The Round Mound of Sound", was my favorite spinner of that era.
