Cant top this

Post by Peel2Seal »

Looks like I have just become the proud owner of 130 1903/03a3 drill rifles at a costly sum of $15.42 a pop. These same rifles are selling for around $200 a pop on gunbroker. I'll be selling them for $125-$200 depending on the condition and what they are. If I can get $125 each for them I will turn this in to a $16,250 pay day.

Well this is GREAT, I won that lot last night for $2005 and now CMP has relisted it! I have been watching the counter for DAYS waiting for the auctions to end.

http://forums.thecmp.org/showthread.php?t=54820

Right now SOMEBODY else is winning MY guns at the same price as I won them for!

IMHO this is a breach of contract and CMP should honor the winning bids on all 210 of there auctions.

Well that stinks. Do they function?

No but some can be made to fire again. I'm setting on a handfull of NOS barrels and bolts so any that are not welded on are fair game for a restoration.

That's a bit of a crock, but software errors do occur. :-/

Good luck "Re-winning" the lot.

IMHO no software error, the clock counted down like it was suposed to. IMHO somebody listing it failed to enter in the right date and time, its not like the auctions instantly ended....they counted down.

I'm not going to go after the lot now, depending on how they respond to my email dictates my future actions with/against them. If my lawyer thinks I have a strong case I will presue it but I wont pay a dime more than what I won that auction for to them, ever.....

Buying firearms in bulk for resale makes you a dealer - or a broker, if you prefer - same end result.

Technically the fact that I have over 250 firearms in my collection including some class III items I'd say I have a good case for "expanding my collection"
