The first gun I ever purchased was a Ruger 10/22 when I was 18. 22 years later, I decided to give it some upgrades.
The first upgrade was a Nordic Components AR-22 kit. It offers a pistol grip, picatinny rail, adjustable stock, and AR hand grip. Unlike the Archangel kit which is plastic, It is fully aluminum. I joke that it looks enough like an assualt rifle to get harrassed by law enforcement.
I opted for the thin guard version, which looks size appropriate on the 10/22.
The Nordic conversion kit not only looked good, it makes the rifle considerably more comfortable to fire and therefore improved accuracy.
Nordic also threw in a free magazine release extension. It looks great and makes swapping magazines a breeze, but the hole was not big enough for the pin and needed to be slightly enlarged.
The final upgrade is a Burris 2-7x Fullfield II to replace an old Simmons. What is cool is that Burris agreed to adjust the parallax focus to 50 yards (factory set at 100 yards) if I send it to them. When the sight is returned, I will take and share photos.

I know, I know, I need pictures. Right now, it is back into peices awaiting some thread-lock and the sight. When I get it all back together, I promise lots of pictures.
