This ain't guns, but it is hardware................
Started out to build 1 or 2 shooting benches, then decided it would be nice to have them on a trailer, then decided it would be nice if the deck was raised to get us above the brush on strip jobs, then decided to put a rail around it for safety and make it hinge down for shooting, then decided to enclose boxes for carrying gun cases & assorted paraphernalia, then decided to make it easy for fat old men by having a set of steps up the tongue, then decided to make one table 6" longer to accomodate stuff like our .50BMG, then decided that bench ought to be double-sided so a lefty could shoot if we invited one, then decided, since the trailer was 8.5 feet wide and 10 feet long, we ought to add 2 outrigger arms so we could set up a 10' x 10' popup tent on top just in case it rained or was too sunny, thenb decided to paint it OD instead of candy-apple red in case we decided to park it on top of a hill and cover it with camo, and somewhere along the way we decided to upgrade the bench design (based on the plans sold by Richard's custom rifles of Vinton, VA) by unleashing our machinist/fabricator buddy Dave on the blueprints. We've all had projects that grew a little in the doing. This one grew a right smart. But it did turn out nice. We drew a half-dozen double-takes when we took it home. Can't wait for Brian's groundhog-hunting buddies up at Bedford to see it. Tops of the tables will set about 6.5' off the ground. The hand wheels under the tables tilt them up or down.

Gun-crazy? Me? I'd say the gun-crazy ones are the ones that don’t HAVE one.

Awesome!Funny how things get more and more elaborate.
