Places to shoot in Lexington/Rockbridge County area

Post by AJG »

My wife and I are retireing and have recently purchased a home in the Lexington area. We'll be moving in sometime in July. I'd like suggestions on good ranges/places to shoot in the area. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

try the national forest range at Low Moor, I64 exit 21, coming from Lexington turn left at the stop sign at end of exit ramp, then right on Rich Patch Road after the railroad underpass. About 2 miles down Rich Patch Road on the left.

This is where a lot of VMI Cadets come to practice.
