Isle of Wight may repeal "useless" gun law

Another achievement to be accredited to the Virginia Citizens Defense League. Thank you Mr. Van Cleave and all members who support the VCDL!

You still see the uselessness of the government spokesman talking about repealling something that the Commonwealth forbids them to do. In essence, they passed the ordinance illegally, so there should be no need to repeal it, but they talk about possibly repealing it at the next future meeting as if that were an option.

Typical thinking, they want places to be "safer" so the answer is outlawing guns. I'm sure criminals avoided those places when they had a gun with them.

Bobtail brings up an excellent point. I wish I were rich. I'd go around the country looking for stuff like this so I could hire gun toting attorneys and sue the fargen bastages.

My next door neighbor is Newport News Parks Superintendant Mike Nealer. I was telling him about my son and I being on 60 Minutes and he stated that Phil Van Cleve called him at work and told him to change his signage in the parks to reflect the new conceal laws that went into effect. Parks had to change 30 thousand dollars worth of signs. Mike was pissed at the expense, since the budget was not written with that in mind...

I never did see the signs when I was at the VCDL picnic. Sounds like money well spent though
