illinois arms CO. American 180 Value?

Post by jim100 »

I have a Illinois arms CO. American 180 semi auto. Does any one know what the value of it is? I can't seem to nail down a number on this gun, it apparently is a rare rifle   . Any help is appreciated.

I'd look in a current copy of the bluebook of gun values. Also keep in mind, that rare does not equal valuable.

I know Val out at E&L mfg will make a new semi-180 on a custom order basis. You might drop him a note to see what a 'new' one costs.

But I think the real value, is tied to yours being made by the original mfg. before E&L bought them out. As yours is a 'collectors' item, condition will be king. If its had lots of rounds through it, and its below 90% condition then its value to a collector will be much more limited.

I know the full-auto variants go for 8-10k.

The ones I've seen at shows have been marked in the $1.5-2k range. Of course, that was a year or two ago, so prices may have fluctuated a bit.
