Ruger is expected to announce a new 1911 next week, but someone screwed up, lol.

I hope this is fake (the picture looks very similar to Kimber's stock photos but with noticeable differences in the trigger and sights) because even as a 1911 fan, the market is already too saturated to warrant another entry.

Ruger's MSRPs are usually outlandish. It'll probably retail for several hundred less - unless people go crazy for them.

I haven't owned a Ruger since Ol' Bill R. stated that people
didn't need Hi-Cap mags & 10 should be enough...... Well I figured a company
that thought that way really didn't NEED my money or support...... Still won't
by a Ruger.

Here we go again...

In all fairness to Ruger(the company) they now make several "high cap" guns as well as "black rifles". They have certainly changed. They are also, it appears, are strong RKBA advocates. They even recently ran a TV series advocating CC. I assume you know this but just in case Bill is dead.

I own seven Rugers (unless I missed one or two somewhere) and everyone of them are great working, great shooting guns.

Would I buy a Ruger 1911? If I don't it won't be because of any issues with Ruger, it will be that I just don't need another 1911 pistol. I have what I always wanted, a stainless steel Colt and it does fine.
