Learning Basics + CCW

Hello all,

I'm interested in learning the basics of firearm handling and shooting so that I can eventually get my CCW permit. I'm in the NOVA area (Alexandria), so I figured this regional forum might be the most appropriate. I'm new to all of this, and would love some recommendations for training and any steps I should complete or look into.

We run NRA Basic Pistol classes about every other month. We have one this weekend and I believe there are still seats available. Go to www.vagunsafety.com and look at the class list on the right sidebar.

There are a lot of good instructors and schools on this forum, so you can't really go wrong. Just make sure you keep learning and don't take one class and then never educate yourself again.
