Ok How would you like to wake up to her every morning? YUCK!
I could think of several grandiose ideas...most would involve someone waking up gagged and tied down...

I think preparing for a zombie attack is just like preparing for any other SHTF scenario. You need food, water, and lots of ammo . As far as anybody believing in actual zombies... give me a break  .

That's why I bought my FNH 5.7 at the last Gun Show. Being able to carry 60 rounds out of the box is awesome. Zombies beware

Hmmm, Interesting. I don't pay Cracked.com much attention, but I thought that was some sort of humor site?
Yes, it is. As some of us may remember, "Cracked" was launched against "Mad." Foolish children, no one takes on Mad Magazine and wins. Anyway - it was resurrected as a webzine, it'c cornerstone being; "{X} reasons {something horrid} could/could not happen" Usually David Wong does some good stuff, but it gets old really fast.

Oh look! A follow up! http://www.cracked.com/article_18683_7- ... ickly.html

Over the summer one of the UF kids hacked 2 of the trailer road construction message signs to say "Zombie attack, Evacuate immediately" . Confused some of the elderly in town :hysterical: .

I used to live in Gainesville and now live about 34 miles away so it's nice that I'm not the only one in the area who believes in protecting cute coed's

as for a shtf situation I believe in forethought and being prepared. I moved to a semi rural 1 acre property and promptly planted clumping bamboo along the fence line to make a living wall. Planted fruit and citrus trees. fixed the second well and bought a easily installable hand pump [why does everybody forget water?]

as for protection...

bows are nice, quite, and the ammo can be recovered.
that said I think the ideal would be sitting on your roof when the zombies come with...
sniper rifle for distance
hunting rifle for a little closer
ar15 for closer than that and the occasional mob
pump shotgun for real close
semi-auto pistol for even closer
revolver as back up when reloading the above
Remmington chain saw on a stick for when they are trying to get on the roof
then there are the swords...

almost there
"The deeper sorrow cleaves into your soul the greater it's capacity to contain joy" -DeSade

when in doubt set it on fire.

Remember, you don't need to outrun the zombies, you just need to outrun the person next to you!

I think I would have engraved, "Smile! Wait for the Flash!"

Not my own slogan, but I do so love it.
