Over the summer one of the UF kids hacked 2 of the trailer road construction message signs to say "Zombie attack, Evacuate immediately" . Confused some of the elderly in town

I used to live in Gainesville and now live about 34 miles away so it's nice that I'm not the only one in the area who believes in protecting cute coed's
as for a shtf situation I believe in forethought and being prepared. I moved to a semi rural 1 acre property and promptly planted clumping bamboo along the fence line to make a living wall. Planted fruit and citrus trees. fixed the second well and bought a easily installable hand pump [why does everybody forget water?]
as for protection...
bows are nice, quite, and the ammo can be recovered.
that said I think the ideal would be sitting on your roof when the zombies come with...
sniper rifle for distance
hunting rifle for a little closer
ar15 for closer than that and the occasional mob
pump shotgun for real close
semi-auto pistol for even closer
revolver as back up when reloading the above
Remmington chain saw on a stick for when they are trying to get on the roof
then there are the swords...
almost there
