Oh I dunno. The date stamp screams low-end compact consumer type camera. I vote for poor quality optics. Granted the 60kB jpegs aren't helping either.

I am going to guess that your estimate is correct. It appears the firearms were photographed inside and I can't be positive, but I don't see any sign of a flash. That combination would lead to a slower shutter speed and any motion at all will result in blurriness. My suggestion would be to take the guns outside and photograph them out there.

I couldn't use the flash because the pictures all came out white (mostly) and yes I have come to the conclusion myself that I definitely need a better camera. I am currently in the process of getting one. I'm looking at kodak easyshares. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Canon used to have a solid lead in the compact camera department. I don't think that's quite true any more. Compacts aren't really my thing.

If you are using the night function for a brighter pic the shutter speed is slow and you'll need to hold very steady of tripod mount.

also...the dark gun with dark backgrounds...dark fireplace, dark couch...isn't helping any either.
