New to hunting...
I am looking for someone to teach me the basics of Spring Gobbler hunting. I live in the Metro DC area. I have an 870 with proper Turkey choke.

Other than your 870 you need head to toe camo, a friction call ( easier to work than a diaphram type) and a good population of turkeys. You try to pull the gobbler away from the hens he has collected and if that doesn't work, call the hens in and he will follow. But you have to face the fact that some days he isn't gonna budge no matter how love sick you sound.

If your'e up to a 3 1/2 drive I might be able to help you out. Not opening day but the following saturday may work. I'm not worried about anyone getting my honey hole, it's about 450 acres, heavily posted and the possum cop even keeps an eye out . Check back with me the end of March and I'll see what I can do.
