Well, Zephyp, Vahunter, and I went out again. And again, we got nuthin'. Last time, Vahunter at least saw a couple of bucks (couldn't actually shoot at 'em for safety reasons), but this time none of us three saw anything out there that was legal to shoot. The only deer we did see was at some hamburger place; a doe was running like crazy across the road (the game warden rolled by shortly thereafter, coincidentally). Strange thing is that other hunters in the area were getting shots at something. As Vahunter put it, "it sounded like a war zone."
It seems that there is a "hunting curse" hanging over the head of your token liberal here. Taggure, you still sure you want me coming with you next year?
It was still a good time, though, and educational. Thanks to both Vahunter and SgtBill for the use of their land, and Zephyp for letting me go with him (again). I have also now learned why SgtBill's place is a favored spot for meet 'n' greets; his property is beautiful! I had no idea that lake was that size.
