Or so says the Savage Website. Its a Savage model 110BA in .338 Lapua. I had a Sako ordered, but finally just gave up after about 6 months with no hope. Ordered the Savage because I was led to believe I could actual;ly get one, and also because someone whose opinion I respect told me Savage is as good as anybody in these days of CNC machining and CAD manufacturing. Truth is, while the finish and fancy may have been a little short on Savage firearms, I've ALWAYS felt like they are as accurate and well-made as most. And anyway, it's built like an M-2 machinegun. Finish and fancy just don't enter in here. Got a .338 Lapua round sitting on the block that's supporting the forearm. They shipped the cotton-pickin' thing with no bipod. Done and ordered one. Can't wait for warmer weather!

Savage makes great long range guns for the money, no doubt about it. Only 6 months waiting for the Sako? When you get to guns like that you expect to wait 1-2 years unless you are lucky to find someone with it in stock. I know I waited over a year for my DTA SRS .338LM.

Obviously max range depends a whole lot on conditions and ammo, but if you are really good you can add another 600 yards to that give or take. I've know people who have shot .300WM 1800+ yards.
