I currently have some tickets to the UT-VA CHL classes to be held in the Arlington/Pentagon City area (Specific Location: 2480 S. Glebe Rd. Bldg, 2 Arlington, VA) on January 7th and 8th. If anyone is interested the tickets are $125, which is discounted from the original price of $150.
This class certifies you for the Utah permit, which can enable you to carry in approximately 30 states including Virginia. For this class, you are only required to attend ONE 4-hour class of instruction and there is not a live-fire range exercise or test involved.
These courses are taught by instructors certified by the NRA and a number of states as firearms and concealed carry permit instructors. Generally my colleagues and I teach our classes in the Idaho-Utah-Wyoming area, but we just happen to be in DC so we thought we would check and see if there might be anybody interested in obtaining their concealed carry permit while we are in town. In fact, one of our instructors taught numerous classes in the Virginia area this summer. His name is Joe H. just in case you might know someone who attended one of his courses.
We do offer special discounts for groups of 3 or more.
The registration fee covers all required instruction, fingerprinting, notary services, passport photos, application packets, and even some great snacks and drinks. I guarantee that this class is the best price you will find around!!

I wish you could too! If you happen to know anyone that might be interested feel free to pass along my contact info. I've been having a hard time spreading the word. Initially I posted on Craigslist, but there seem to be quite a few folks that have more "liberal" views than I do and they keep flagging my ads so that they get deleted.

You are probably going to continue to have a hard time. There's quite a number of us (Utah certified instructors) in the Virginia/DC/Maryland area. There's seems to especially be a glut of instructors in Northern Va.TylerL wrote:I've been having a hard time spreading the word.

Just an FYI to anyone that might have been interested in this class. As Proshooter stated, we have had a hard time rounding up students so we have dropped the price of our class to $100. Also, in addition to the class in Arlington we will also have a class in Fredericksburg @ 9AM on Saturday January 8th.
