Time for another video series. I got asked for one about how to resize and lube cast boolits on the cheap. So, we did it.
This is a two-part video series. Part 1 goes into sizing the boolit. We use a Lee resizing die mounted on an inexpensive single-stage press. Part 2 goes into lubing. We use the tumble-lube method here, basically because I find the method very convenient, especially when doing so in volume.
The example boolit is a 0.358" LRNFP with traditional lube grooves, i. e. not a so-called "tumble-lube" type. Yes, TL'ing traditionally grooved projectiles works and yields excellent results, including with beveled-base bullets.
As always, they are available on my Web site for free download. They are also available on the YouTube channel "sfliberal".
Safe shootin',

Here's a link to the sfliberal YouTube channel. I had to adjust my firewall to allow me to visit a URL with the words SF and Liberal

But...but...I'm running GNU/Linux! You're safe, really, I promise! The "W32.SFLiberal" virus only affects Microsoft systems!

Re: Video Series: How to size and tumble-lube on the cheap
I tumble lube with a 50/50 mixture, by volume, of white lithium grease and 4X graphite powder mixed to a mud. I'll put about a level teaspoon of this in a 12 qt. stock pot with the bullets, swirl the whole thing vigorously for a few minutes and then dump them on an old towel. I pick the towel up by the ends and raise and lower the ends to roll the bullets. This removes any excess and leaves a deposit in the lube grooves and a thin coating on the bearing surface.
Been doin' that for years and they shoot great with no leading.
That's my story an' I'm stickin' to it.
