My Report

Post by Bob »

Nothing is happening.

You can go go out there and shoot a few crows, or maybe some rabbits, or maybe 2 or 3 hundred squirrles( is that spelled right) doesn't look right to me . But they have to be "Depricating" your crops. Bad time of year for me, I haven't seen a coyote in two years, but I did just see a redfox in my driveway this morning, but I was not dressed so to speak and did not have a rifle handy. I don't have any neighbors but I still have a problem going outside naked so he was lucky. But i digress, oh oh my wife is home I may have too go, I may be in deep do do, you all have a good one.

Thanks for the report Bob. It's good to know that if any of us come strolling up your driveway, we don't have to worry about seeing you nekkid.

Squirrels - no problem :)

Note to Bob's wife: Be nice to Bob. He's had a rough day.

Bob I'll give you a hollar in August when crow season comes in. I have an electronic call and some decoys. Only thing else we need is a couple of guns, shells and DR. JACK for afterwards.

I hear ya Vahunter, it doesn't take too many crows to wipe out a corn crop. I'm all for getting rid of them.
I've seen a crow walk right down a corn row pulling one plant after another, just for that seed.

My wife came home last evening took a look at me and just shook her head, I guess we have been married too long. This morning I woke up with a headache and she just laughed at me, that woman can be mean.

She did suggest that we need a break we have been working pretty hard, I think we are going on a fishing trip. We will most likely go to the mountains for trout maybe tomorrow.

It's always nice to have a cocktail after the guns are put up, I will be happy to supply some Dr Jack.

Vahunter...

If you are looking for another crow shooter keep me in mind... I'm building up a 10/22 and would love to get a few crows/woodchucks in my sights.
The problem is they frown upon that up here in Sterling :-(

And I can bring the Jack, or a few other bottles for AFTERWARDS

Cheers

Hey, sounds good to me. I'll just shoot twice as many and then partake when the guns are put away.

Talking about crows, I planted some Hickory King roasting corn in my creek bottom, not a lot just 10 rows, 45 foot long. I was down looking at it today and I either got some terrible germination or the crows got into it, I only have about 75% growing, it had to be the crows.

I have some sweet corn up by the house that's doing fine, but I can see them right from my window, those crows are scared to come here, because they get shot at regular.

I need to kill some more right here in Campbell County.

Hey Vahunter check out this site http://www.varmintal.com a lot of good calls, some good info on coyotes.

I had to do an edit on this, all the calls can be downloaded for free.

Iv'e listened to some of his calls a while back. Cranked up the puter speaker and let 'em rock. :clapping: I use a Foxpro remote call that I can download sounds into. I have some good crow calls.
