Glock support said they never heard of such thing, didn't have any springs in stock, and promised to send me a new one when they come in. It's been over 3 weeks now. No problem, though. I anticipated Glock would take forever or forget me, so I came up with an immediate solution below:

Fit an aftermarket Gen3 stainless steel captive guide rod from a place called BrassStackers (great products). Fired 1,000 rounds ever since, works great! In fact, better... I noticed when I shot with the factory Gen4 recoil assembly, shells would extract straight to my forehead for some reason. After using the Gen3 guide rod, shells fly clear over my head. I feel no difference in recoil, either.
