Choke suggestions?

Post by Jim »

I have a Benelli Super Nova in 12 X 3.5. I'd like to find a ported choke for it that will pull the pattern down tight for card shooting with # 7.5s or # 8s. If possible, I'd like to use the same choke to shoot crows with using # 5s. All shot used will be lead. I do not and will not shoot any shot other than lead.

Suggestions?
Lord, please protect us today from having to use deadly force.

Use the chart number 1 on the following page to determine what you want. Then try it out. I like to use an Improved Cylinder when I am shooting Wobble and 5 Stand.

That really depends on how your barrel is threaded. If it's threaded for Remchokes, there are a lot of turkey chokes with ports built into them that would be ideal for tight patterns. As for crows, I'd use a modified choke and #6 shot, medium brass shells. I would not use the turkey choke for shooting airborne birds since the shot spread would be too tight.
