Actually, they're not pink, but close enough that's the reason I got new grips. Beretta put out a commemorative model 92 for each of the services. Even though I'm an Army vet, the USMC model was the only one they had in stock. So I figure what the heck, I'll lower my standards and go that route.OakRidgeStars wrote:I don't care much for the pink grips (not that there's anything wrong with that) but the wood grain looks good enough to shoot

They're not as "grippy" as rubber ones no doubt, but the finger grooves certainly help. They are definitely bulkier than the original Hogue aluminum grips which came with the gun. The 92 is sure as heck no midget either in size or weight, so I actually prefer the new bulkier feel of the grips. Btw, re Altamont, they have quite a selection if you check their website. Based on my experience, I'd give them an A+ for product quality and price and a C for service in terms of delivery time. They charged my credit card right away but the grips didn't get delivered for over two weeks and you have to call/email for info re order status, which wasn't too accurate anyway. However, maybe that's atypical and my individual order had some delay for whatever reason. But the quality (fit/finish)of the grips is excellent, almost like it's one piece of wood, and that's what's important. Re selling the "pink" grips, I think I'll just keep them because if I ever sell the gun, the buyer might be an OCD type who wants everything original. Thanks anyway.
