grouse and quail hunting

Anyone hunted Grouse or Quail in the Thompson or Phelps WMA's? I've been hunting geese in MD, but want to expand my field time, thought those might be some fun birds to hunt. Hope to hear from you.

Phelps was a bust for me 2 weeks ago. Saw 3 dove and 5 people.

I can't speak for current conditions. I found a couple of coveys in there back in the early '90s. QU put in some feed plots after that, but I never got back there.
