Well, let's see here...

On July 1, Virginians can legally conceal carry in restaurant. On September 12, some moonbat fumbles with his gun in a pizza joint and plugs himself in the thigh. Oh, and he was allegedly drinking alcohol at the time.

Queue the anti-gun crowds howling, and saying "We told you so..." in 3...2...1...

One of the worst things this person did was to run away from the scene. A friend of mine was just up the street and saw about a half dozen LPD officers taking the guy into custody at gunpoint. If he had just stayed there and explained what happened he probably would have been better off. We all know that flight equals guilt.

I think the bullet hole in his thigh was proof enough he was guilty.

…I think he was more embarrassed, ashamed than anything else.
He should be embarrassed. The issue is, his stupidity isn't just an embarrassment to himself it's ammunition for anti-gunners and adds to the fear. Now I get to have this lovely example rubbed in my face every time I have a conversation with an anti-gunner about the gun on my hip, oh goodie. I think if I ever ran into this guy I'd have to smack him.

What a mess.

Rule #1: Never handle your firearm in public unless you intend to put it to defensive use.
...
Rule #9: If you're going to carry a firearm in your pocket, then get a pocket holster for it that covers the trigger guard completely.

Well, that's a mediocre attempt at a Darwin Award.

He probably should have been kicked in the nuts - repeatedly. What a moron.

If the anti-gun crowd wants to use the incident against gun ownership or open or concealed carry, maybe they should watch this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nDfNV9bJoSg

So I guess the next step is to disarm cops.

I should mention that this shows the difference in what state you live in. Plaxico Burress, doing pretty much the same thing in New York, was convicted of two felonies and is serving a 2 year sentence.

Personally, I don't OC or CC, but if I did, I'd leave the safety off with no round in the chamber, just like in my nightstand. It doesn't take that much longer to rack the slide back and chamber a round vs having a round chambered but needing to release the safety.

He picked the wrong time, place and pocket to play pocket pool.

Maybe the judge will order him to wear this T-shirt from now on

Word has it that when interviewed, other patrons weren't sure if he had a 9mm in his pocket, or if he was just happy to see them. More at 11. :hysterical:
