New Member and Arlington Resident to be

Hey all glad to be here! I just had this forum suggested to me by a member on another forum and decided to check it out. I currently live in Silver Spring, MD but will be moving to Crystal City , Arlington next week. I'm originally from Upstate NY but now live here working in DC (won't say where for professional reasons, hope you understand). I'm looking forward to making the Commonwealth my home and am really excited to finally live in a Pro Second Amendment State!

I've been hunting and shooting since I was 10 and have only a Ruger 10/22, Remignton 1100 12GA and an Savage 775A 16 GA. I really want to get a pistol and have settled on an XD-45Compact as soon as I can afford it (Note to all Glock fans: I did shoot them both side by side and the XD just works better tor me. Nothing against Glock, it's a great gun, but XD just fits better for me,).

Anyway glad to be here and if any of you live in the Crystal City or greater Arlington Area let me know and feel free to suggest any good hangout spots, gunshops or ranges. Thanks.

Truth be told I prefer the XD to the glock myself, like you said both good guns the XD just has a better balance and feel to me.
