A little gun followed me home today .....
Hello all,
I just picked up a lightly used PPS .40 from VA Arms, had to get a CCW in .40 that I would actually carry 24/7 my P229 .40 was not going to cut it this summer.
AI Date Stamp (2008)
AC04xx Serial
1 X 5rd mag
1 X 6rd mag
1 X 7rd mag
Laser Lyte Sub-Compact V2 sight
It feels great in my hand and I can't wait to shoot it.
I look forward to getting to know you all here on the boards.

Awesome pickup Dave.

Good picture, too. I find it's not that easy to take good gun pictures - especially when my wife is acting like I'm nuts doing it!

Very nice. The PPS has been calling to me for some time now. I just can't seem to get the Glock 23 off my hip.
How is the holster selection for the PPS?

The PPS will give you fewer rounds than your G23 , but when was the last time you put your G23 in your front pocket and went to a movie ?Nathan wrote:Very nice. The PPS has been calling to me for some time now. I just can't seem to get the Glock 23 off my hip.

Rick has a good selection of Holsters ..... here's another resource showing a variety of manufacturers coming out with stuff for the PPS.

A lot of PPS owners recommended the High Noon Hidden Agenda IWB, I should be getting that in a day or two.
Re: A little gun followed me home today .....
It's small enough to be a pocket gun??? No, I definitely can't jam that G23 in my pocket, that's for sure! That role gets filled by one of my snub noses.bossgvr4 wrote:The PPS will give you fewer rounds than your G23 , but when was the last time you put your G23 in your front pocket and went to a movie ?
Glad to see the market is expanding for holsters for the PPS. If I did get one, I'd roll OWB with it. I can't stand IWB carry.

Range Report .....
Had a range session today
Walther PPS .40 S&W
100 Blazer 180gr - flawless operation, slow fire, double tap, rapid fire
50 Magtech 180gr - flawless
20 Winchester 180gr FMJ
Sig P229 .40 S&W w/ new Buffer Technologies buffer installed
50 Blazer 180gr - flawless operation (as usual with the Sig)
NOTE: Save your money the Buffer does absolutely nothing to perceived recoil, IMHO it just adds more parts to fail and/or lose !
Archangel 10/22
100 Blazer .22LR - pure smei -auto fun fun FUN

Re: A little gun followed me home today .....
Never used a buffer on a semi that reduced recoil. What they have done is reduce the battering that the frame takes when using +p or +p+ loads, especially in the alloy framed guns.
