Response from Senator Webb

I sent him a letter a while ago in regards to the assault weapons ban that some in the Senate are trying to reenact,,,Thought it would be good to show his response to that request I made that he not support it if it does come down the pike!! His record of voting has been pretty much pro gun that I have seen.

As you may know, the Assault Weapons Ban, signed into law in 1994, banned 19 types of semi-automatic military-style guns and ammunition clips with more than 10 rounds. The ban expired in 2004.



The Second Amendment states in pertinent part that ".the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed." As a gun owner and sportsman, I believe that this right is important in ensuring individual freedom. Moreover, I take seriously my role as a United States Senator in protecting that constitutional right. I will work to ensure that that right is not unconstitutionally infringed upon.

He's a career politician, alright. But at least he's a career politician that supports the Second Amendment. Only time will tell if he changes his tune when the political winds shift.
