First one of the season!

Post by VBshooter »

Not hunting but great just the same, I got my first Largemouth Bass of the season tonight,, A good healthy 5 pounder ,,Did the tail dance trick several times ,, A great freaking show,,,, Flipped a couple others reacting too fast to the hit,,, Hopefully this summer will yield a good crop of bucketmouths ,

Cool, planning on heading to Amelia WMA for a morning the first of the week. Glad you got your fish in..... those larger fish have a way for being the ones that get away. I see where the 100 lb blue catfish mark was broken at DG. Know it would happen sooner or later. Wonder how long it will take to break that record

I love to fish glad you got a nice one, 5 pound is a good fish, I do get a few out of the farm ponds around here most around 3 pounds or so, every now and then I get a big one.

I really like to trout fish and am getting ready to take a trip up to the mountains now that turkey is over and the garden is in, if I get any decent trout I'll have a picture on here.

I used to trout fish all the time when I was living up north,,, Loved It,,,,Too bad there is none here in VB,,warm murky water doesn't support them worth a crap... I am thinking of moving West towards Roanoke in the future to get closer to trout water,,, I would think a Blue Cat over a 100 pounds should stand as the record for quite some time...

VBshooter you don't have to go too far to get some trout, about 200 miles dead west of Va. Beach, should put you on a nice trout stream. Get on Rt 460 and head west.
