What are you looking at a scope for? An AR? A bolt gun?

To my knowledge, BSA only makes military style scopes. I do not know of anyone being issued a BSA. Aimpoints, EOTechs, Trijicons, Nightforce, Leupolds, S&B, Premier, etc. yes, but no BSAs. BSA is a lower end manufacturer, who makes ok scopes when used as they were designed. They are not strong enough for military use IMHO.

E.g. The USMC currently is issueing a S&B PMII for their M40 sniper rifle: http://www.schmidtbender.com/marines.htm and http://www.schmidtbender.com/scopes_pol ... sman.shtml

Want one? http://www.eurooptic.com/Schmidt-Bender ... arent=XXSB

Call him and you can get a slightly better deal. I should note that there was an engineering change at the begining of this year to the Premier Heritage scope, but I don't know when that started or if any have been issued yet. Take a look here: http://www.premierreticles.com/products and http://www.libertyoptics.com/index1.html
It is the 3-15x50mm version.

Those are real military sniper scopes and as you can see, BSA isn't even in the same league as them. http://www.bsaoptics.com/family.aspx?fa ... 36&filter=% and http://www.bsaoptics.com/family.aspx?fa ... 14&filter=%

If you are looking for something to top an AR, then there are lots of options. 1x mag milspec red dots start at $600 from the likes of Aimpoint and EOTech. You can get a 3x magnifer for those, but they double the cost. Low mag fixed optics like the Trijicon ACOGs start around $1k. Variable 1.1x-? from nightforce and S&B, etc. start at $1-1.5k and can easily top $2k.

The BSAs are again, about 1/10th that cost and not really military spec. Good optics cost lots of money. That isn't to say the BSAs are bad for their intended purpose (simple range use), but just that they aren't mispec.

I think this was a poor attempt at some advertisment spam, and I say poor because he couldn't get the link right.....

Well I'm sure the spammer wouldn't have liked my response any ways if he was tied to BSA.
