Hello all, just stumbled on to this site. I call Chesterfield home so most of my time is spent waterfowl hunting in central VA, do slip out from time to time with intentions of filling the freezer with deer meat, my wepon of choice for that is a muzzleloader. Guess my real passion is chasing those spring turkeys. With the season coming to a close, decided to check the airways out and talk to a few Va turkey hunters. I see you guys have been after them and had some success. As soon as I get dialed in ,I'll post up a pic of the turkey I killed this past spring..... bare with me!

Welcome to the forum cutun, it's good to get some more hunters on here. I do shoot some paper now and then but hunting of all types is my preferance.

I feel like there is nothing to do tomorrow, almost every day i've been getting up at 4:30 and getting out before sun up I guess I'll sleep in tomorrow. I always feel a little sad when the season ends, but October is not that far away.

Then theres always varmints to keep you occupied during the summer.

Been trying to find a few farms with the hopes of hunting a few resident geese in Sept. Hope to use the ground hog as a way to introduce myself and make a few "new friends" in the process. Besides, shootin groundhogs is a BLAST.

Welcome cutun! We have some groundhogs here in Alexandria, but the law frowns if we shoot them

You have a few "polecats" just north of ya that need thining out too, bet the laws would frown on that too
