VA-ALERT: Primary Candidate Surveys -- House of Delegates

I need your help!

A few days ago, the VCDL 2009 Primary Candidate Surveys was mailed to
all 37 candidates running for their party's nomination to run for the
House of Delegates.

Already, three candidates have responded. I'm sure many more will too.

However, they all need to know that you want to them to complete the
VCDL Primary Candidate Survey so you can evaluate their positions on the
gun issue BEFORE the Primary.

Failure to return a completed survey frequently indicates indifference,
if not outright hostility, toward the Right to Keep and Bear Arms.

Below, I have listed all the candidates in the June Primary. Those who
have already answered the VCDL Survey have a double asterick (**) before
their name.

If you live in one of the districts below, please contact the campaigns
of every candidate in your district and urge them to answer the VCDL
survey. If they've already answered it, be sure to thank them.

Don't accept vague generalizations such as "the candidate supports the
2nd Amendment". Remember, anti-gun zealot Chuck Schumer says he
supports the 2nd Amendment, but his view is that it does NOT apply to you.

Find out what their real positions are by politely and firmly insisting
that they complete the VCDL survey and send it in immediately. If they
have misplaced their survey, have them contact me at vp@vcdl.org and
I'll email them another copy.

If they are afraid to take a public stand on these issues now, before
the election, then they are unlikely to be very responsive to your
opinions after the election.
