From VCDL EM Patricia Webb:
MEMBERSHIP MEETING AT RIVANNA RIFLE & PISTOL CLUB (RRPC), CHARLOTTESVILLE
RRPC has offered to host VCDL membership meetings at the clubhouse on the range property. This is an exciting opportunity for the Charlottesville members of VCDL and for the members of RRPC. Many of the range members have already expressed their enthusiasm for the prospect of hosting VCDL meetings. RRPC is a very active range and regularly sponsors educational events for its members. In addition there are many matches held there including Cowboy Action, IDPA, shotgun, youth events and more. For information on these and other activities at RRPC, as well as directions, visit their web site at:
http://www.rrpc.org
Our first meeting at RRPC will be on Thursday, June 3rd with a pot luck dinner at 6:00 p.m. and the meeting to follow at 7:00 p.m. Bring a dish to share if you can. Drinks, chips, etc. are fine. Hot dogs/ BBQ, plates, cups, etc. will be provided. Donations welcome to help defray the cost of plates, cups, etc. and any extra will be donated to VCDL-PAC.
Philip Van Cleave will speak to us about the upcoming changes in the Virginia Firearms Laws including the repeal of the ban on concealed carry in restaurants with ABC-on permits. We will also be discussing the celebratory dinners on July 1st, including a location in Charlottesville!
Thanks in advance to RRPC and the members who are volunteering to make this event possible!
