Sarah Palin's New Neighbor

Mnay of you know that far left liberal author Joe McGinniss has taken up residence right next door to the Palin's. His rental house looks to be about 50 feet from theirs. I have no clue why they built houses so close together up there but that's another discussion. I can't get enough of how much the Left hates her for NO reason. She's smart, got common sense, speaks her mind, and doesn't agree with the direction this country is going. What's not to like?

Too much religion in her politics. She'd effectively mandate the Christian religion if she could, and that's not America.

I disagree...she doesnt focus on religion...she focuses on God...big difference. I dont think she would mandate Christianity either. I do think she would focus on instituting things from a moral perspective. Her morals are Biblically rooted as are alot of our laws...yes many will say they go back to old English law but thats rooted Biblically hence so is ours.

If you examine our Founders many porofessed a deep faith in God...if you look at some state Constitutions they mandate that only those professing their faith can hold public office...at least it was that way a few years ago...but please read on...

BTW, there is a difference between religion and Christianity. Religion is based on strict adherence to law laid out in the host text whether it be the Bible, Quaran or otherwise. Christianity is based on a profession of faith in Christ and belief in what he did for us. True Christians are not what we sometimes refer to as "legalistic."

AR - Article 19:
No person who denies the being of a God shall hold any office in the civil departments of this State, nor be competent to testify as a witness in any Court.

MD - Declaration of Rights, Article 37:
That no religious test ought ever to be required as a qualification for any office of profit or trust in this State, other than a declaration of belief in the existence of God...

NC - Article 6, Section 8:
The following persons shall be disqualified for office:
First, any person who shall deny the being of Almighty God.

PA - Article 1, Section 4:
No person who acknowledges the being of a God and a future state of rewards and punishments shall, on account of his religious sentiments, be disqualified to hold any office or place of trust or profit under this Commonwealth.

TN - Article 9, Section 2:
No person who denies the being of God, or a future state of rewards and punishments, shall hold any office in the civil department of this state.
