Greetings
Have just joined the site to have access to and learn from other firearm owners. I was born in KS and raised in CA. I am retired USN, and have lived in VA since '91 (from CA). I work as a volunteer for local sheriff (grant writing) and as a volunteer advising vets and spouses re: benefits and retired issues. My favorite handgun is the Mil-Spec 1911. My favorite rifle is the single shot .22 Remington I've had since 1955. My favorite shotgun is the 870 Express and the exposed hammer Coach Gun. I've regretted and miss every gun I've ever sold, including: .303 British Enfield, Remington .30-06 Woodsmaster, .22 Berreta Model 21A, .38 Rossi 2 1/2", and 9mm Llama. Have only had one firearm stolen: .22 Ruger in '91 from a motel room.

Be particular, and be vigilant, as the enemy will only attack on two occasions:
When you're ready or when you're not ready.
Also never forget, that everyone who shows up, is not necessarily there to help.
