Welcome to the forum. I carry a Ruger LCP also. It's my "not enough clothing to cover anything else" CC gun.

What do you carry in your LCP? I got a few boxes of DoubleTap ammo... took a day off today and went to the range with a buddy - I chrono'd 4 rounds @ 1225, 1188, 1196, 1193.... a little surprised at the heat on those.

I generally carry of of two.

One is this 1991A1 Colt Commander in 45acp. I'm not sure of the brand of holster.

The other this CZ-82 in 9x18 Makarov. Not in this holster, which is a shame, because the holster, which came with the gun, is very well made, but it's more of a police uniform holster than a carry holster. I carry it in a Don Hulme belt slide.

The CZ is becoming my day to day carry due to it's size and weight.

How do you like CZs? I've tried a couple (9mm) but had trouble ejecting empty mags on both. Tried to correct it to no avail. Nice shooters though.

I like it. Good little pistol. I like it a lot better than I did a Makarov. The only reason I got it was it was cheap with a C&R. Normally I don't care for CZ's. Nothing wrong with them. I just don't like them for some reason.

Are you sure the magazines were supposed to drop free on the ones you had? A lot of European pistols don't or at least they used not to. Probably why they didn't mind having the magazine release on the butt of the pistol, they had to reach up and pull the mag out manually anyway. These do drop free.

Both of these had the mag release on the well behind the trigger guard. They dropped ok full but not empty. I fooled around with them and considered a gunsmith but got rid of them. I also favored them because of price , which was even better as they were used, and they shot well. Something I always pay attention to now before I leave the store.

Dude... those Doubletaps are moving out in a hurry. They really wake up that LCP.
