Now they did it
Arizonas new immigarion law has raised the ire of some of the countries bettr know dpuche bags and I suppose we will have to listen to them bellyaching on every network about how unfair a law that supports legal immigration and punishes illegal law breakers is unfair, unjust and uncool unless of course if it effects some other group besides them.
Personally I have had enough of Sharptons racist mouth to last a lifetime..And his good buddy Ol honest Dodd can go to hell to.

Jan Brewer signs US's toughest immigration lawNew York activists, including the Rev. Al Sharpton, compared Arizona's new immigration law to apartheid, Nazi Germany and the Jim Crow South - and vowed to shut it down with mass protests.
"We will bring Freedom Walkers to Arizona just like Freedom Riders went to the deep south 50 years ago," Sharpton said yesterday.
Standing with local clergy, elected officials and a leader of the Hispanic Federation, Sharpton said he would mobilize people from across the country to march in Arizona - and get arrested, if necessary - to stop the controversial new law.
"We cannot sit by and allow people to be arbitrarily and unilaterally picked off as suspects because of the color of their skin," Sharpton said.
Gov. Jan Brewer (R-Ariz.) signed a bill last week authorizing police to question individuals about their immigration status if they suspect they could be in the country illegally.
It now faces a slew of legal challenges and a review by the U.S. Department of Justice that was ordered by President Obama.
"When I heard about it, it reminded me of Nazi Germany," said Hispanic Federation President Lillian Rodríguez López. "It reminded me of South African apartheid."
Meanwhile, in Washington, Senate Democrats said they planned to use the Arizona law to push for an immigration reform bill, but Republicans said other legislation took precedence.
"The idea that state by state would start developing its own immigration laws in the country - imagine what a patchwork that might look like," Sen. Chris Dodd (D-Conn.) said on NBC's "Meet the Press."
"It's demanding a national answer to immigration policy."

Re: Now they did it
So two things I see here. First I want to say Good for Arizona. For too long the Federal Government has ignored the issue of our borders. Now you have all of the Senators and Representatives crying foul and how if each state regulates illegal immigration, it will only cause a hodgepodge of laws. I do agree with them that it will cause a hodgepodge of laws as we have seen all to well with Gun laws. However I feel they brought this on themselves for not stepping up and handling the issue. Perhaps now the federal government will do the right thing and step up. (Hey I can always hope right
)
Now the second part of this. And it is the part I hope Arizona gets right. They are going to have to be extremely careful about the PC term "Racial Profiling." The is such a hot potato right now, I am glad I am not a Peace Officer down there right now. The Left is crying out that there will be non stop searches by the Police simply based on the color of a person's skin. I sure hope this is not the case and that the Governor follows through on her promise of not allowing that to happen. For those who say it can't ever, never ever happen, I would contend look at what happens to those of us who openly carry handguns. Even though it is completely legal, how many stories have you read of Police Officers stopping an individual and "Demanding" Identification and/ or being arrested. I do agree that as the public has become more educated the instances of this happening has decreased. But it still does happen. If Arizona is successful with this reform, it could be a model that other states could follow.
Remember this country was built upon the immigrants. In fact I have immigrants in my family only 4 generations back. But they came here legally. Most through Ellis Island. We have a process that allows for the legal immigration of people into this country. We need to enforce it. And it is time that the Federal Government steps up and does its Constitutionally mandated job.

Re: Now they did it
As the Federal Government can not protect and secure the Borders and have not heeded the request for support by the State the State had to take matters in their own hands. All the state of Arizona did was to tell all of the enforcement agencies to do was to make sure that the CURRENT Federal Law is enforced. Read their bill that is all they are doing.

As far as Immigration goes my wife had to go through the immigration process when she came here from Scotland. We did it the legal way and followed the process with all the background, financial, and health investigations. Not to mention the cost you know there is a fee for everything and all told I spent around $5,000 or so just getting the paperwork and paying all the fees. it is not cheap. Now ask me if I get upset when our government wants to just give all those that feel that they are special and come here illegally without going through the process Well the answer would be YES I DO GET UPSET. I know there are others here on this forum that have went through the same process as I did with their wives and I bet they are not to happy about this prospect either.

Re: Now they did it
I feel for all of the poor immigrants who come here legally. They must first work and save money in their home country and apply for a visa. Then find a way to come here often leaving most of their belongings and some of their family behind. Then the wait begins and all of the red tape. I understand the process can take years to do legally. God bless those who endure the legal process and find a better way of life here as US citizens and I welcome those.
To those here breaking our laws -- I dont care who you are or what good/bad you are doing. You are here illegally and should be arrested. You are not citizens and therefore not afforded protection by our Constitution. You have human rights but not civil rights. I fully expect the federal -- or in this case state of AZ -- government to treat you "civilly" as they detain, arrest, and deport your illegal self back to where you came. Get in line and do it legally.
I spent 17 years in southern AZ. I feel sorry for the folks down there. I can only imagine what they must be going through. I understand that it is no longer safe to walk to the corner 7-11 without carrying a gun or be with someone -- or several someones who are.
And last, to obama and all the so called elected leaders pushing for amnesty and doing nothing about the crisis on the border -- you will get yours eventually. Maybe not in November and maybe not in 2012. But one day every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess.
To the Mexican government speaking out against actions in AZ -- keep your citizens in your own country and make them use our legal process. You people have created a third world country out of something that could be indeed have been a very nice place to live. You and your corrupt officials, along with the drug cartels, will get yours too...

Re: Now they did it
There's a book I'm in the process of reading that has some numbers about how many sexual assaukts and murders have be perpatrate by illegals in this country. Frankly, it's distrubing and sick.
There's economic implications of not securing our borders... Such as Day Labours who don't pay taxes, etc. etc.
And, often forgotten, people leaving Mexico / and other Central American countries, won't hold their own corrupt governments accountable for making their OWN countries better. So you can say that the problems of illegal immigration and corrupt Central American countries are related.

The dems are whipping these latinos into a frenzy. Deliberately lying to them about this arizona law, to start violent protests. The reason for this is clear, they(dems) want to incite riots over this so that the national news can show arizona cops beating and arresting "brown" people. In this way they will be certain to have all the hispanic votes come november. They used the blacks the same way.

What gets me is TEA protests are automatically labeled as racist and extremist and none have so far violated any laws, while these immigration protesters have promised to continue "acts of civil disobedience..."
At the protest in front of the white house yesterday a congressman was arrested for civil disobedience...how lame is that...

Throw in the destruction of property, desecation of the US flag, and other civil disobedience and you got a out of hand protest. We're supposed to react positively to these people?? Ain't gonna happen. THe thing that strikes me as funny is these people don;t seem to realize the federal law is just as strict or worse , they just haven;t seen it enforced,,,,Yet....

The people behind these "protests" are playing a very dangerous game. This one could actually get away from them fast, like a brush fire. I have recently been making quite a few trips into enemy territory (NOVA,MD) and the district, and I have to say I am shocked at what I have been seeing. It seems that Virginia, the district and Baltimore have a serious MS13 infestation problem. If they keep stirring up this hornets nest , a lot of people could potentially be hurt, and badly.

MS13 has had a major presence in Loudoun at least for the last 12+ years back when I was still in middle school. It was rather common to come to school and see some new "tag" that had been spray painted on the side of the school. I will say that the staff did a good job of quickly painting over it. Then at the end of year, they would bring in a large sand blaster to clean the paint off the concrete surfaces. And drug busts were a weekly occurrence. Later when I was in High School I had one class that I had an outside window overlooking the parking lot. The Sheriff Deputies were constantly ripping apart cars finding drugs. Loudoun County Sheriff Department implemented a gang division specifically to target MS13 several years (8+) ago. Although I did hear that it is only recently (within the last 3 or 4 years) that MS13 has pushed up into Maryland.
