howdy all, im new to the site, new gun owner as well and hoping to learn a lot more about guns in general

Welcome to VGOF!! There are some great people here and a ton of good information. Make sure you get some good training for your safety and to make you ready to carry a concealed firearm. I also belong to the United States Concealed Carry Association and they are a great source of info as well. Check them out at http://www.usconcealedcarry.com , you can read some of their forum but you have to join to be able to read most of the articles. :welcome:
