Truck pistol

Post by Jim »

My choice for this assignment is a 4" blued Taurus Judge. During late spring, summer and early fall, I carry 3 rds. of .410 # 4 shot and 2 rds. of .45 Colt with 230 gr. JHPs, in that order. The .410s are for mr. crawly. Outside of those seasons, the cylinder is full of the 230 JHPs. If I had to resort to using this pistol for self defense, I would simply start shooting until the threat is eliminated. I like this pistol because it's easy to carry, I'm comfortable with a revolver, I prefer large calibers and the .410 capacity gives me the opportunity to deal with snakes without having to aim carefully. It's also good for dispatching wounded game should my aim not be as good as I had wanted.
Lord, please protect us today from having to use deadly force.
