Just looking for some of the loopholes to the OC laws that i have heard exist. Like in ches' for example i have heard it is legal to OC your handgun so long as it is not loaded. Not sure how true this is since i have yet to actualy find anything about it online.

You can OC your loaded handgun anywhere you like within the Commonwealth of Virginia (*See below) as long as you are legally entitled to own a firearm.

* Firearms are NOT permitted at the following locations:
Court Houses
Elementary/Middle/High School Grounds
Federal Property (Military bases, Post Offices, etc)
Place of religious worship "without good and sufficient reason"
Airport air carrier terminals
Private property that is appropriately posted or verbally designated against the carrying of firearms

Chesapeke* is what i meant to type my bad. I was told the in different citys they have different policies on open carry. But thanks for clearin that up for me.

Virginia state law preempts local laws for carrying firearms, go by the state laws that AllinGeneral referred you to..
