Really? explain how this benefits a gun owner in NY? ......did they change the permitting process to "allow" certain people to own a gun? I think they should put a fence around NY.........its hopeless.

That is a missconception Congress has never passed any law reference family members serving on the same ship. see; http://www.history.navy.mil/faqs/faq72-5.htm
