More National Park Carry discussion

The Coalition of National Park Service Retirees (CNPSR) have gotten their boxers in a wad over the National Park Carry legislation that will allow law abiding citizens to carry firearms within National Park boundaries in accordance with state and local laws.

Give the following story a quick read and feel free to leave a Pro-Gun comment there.

National Park Services Retirees, my sweet tookie! Who the hell are those life-long, time-serving, sloppers from the public trough to think they ought to have any say on how OUR government agencies ought to operate. They can sit on their fat rear ends and wait for their oversized retirement checks to come and let honest working people make their own decisions.

The article made me sorta miffed, too. This line was a bit personal, as it pertains to our state:
Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts (VA): Virginia’s gun laws are very permissive. The grounds of Wolf Trap, including the “lawn seating area,” will be open to people carrying firearms.
I think the article missed the whole point of the law (on purpose). Most areas of our state are "open to people carrying firearms", with exceptions noted in the law of our state. I didn't look up the law for each state noted in the article, but certainly all that the author did was note what the current state law is for parks located in that state.
I like this one, too: Mount Rainier National Park (WA): While hiking the famous “Wonderland Trail” you could encounter other hikers openly carrying handguns, rifles or shotguns.
I think each of the statements should read "residents of our state are no longer denied, by the federal government, the rights given to them by our state government."

Travis laid out the very important distinction. The rights are not given to us by the Constitution or the Government. They are natural rights of man which specifically cannot be taken away by our Government.
