The 4th Amendment Has Got to Go !!!!!

First of all what is the 4th Amendment? Here it is verbatim from the Constitution:

Amendment 4 - Search and Seizure. Ratified 12/15/1791.

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Now I'm not anti-American or anything. As a matter of fact I think we would be much better off if LE could search whatever they want, whenever they want. How else can we guarantee the safety of citizens? How can I be sure you arent hiding a nuclear weapon in your basement if the cops cant bust down your door and take a look whenever they (or I or some other concerned citizen) want?

What about computer systems? How can I be sure you arent involved in something sinister like child pornography if LE cant take a look whenever they (or I) have a hankering to do so? Our children must be protected.

And your vehicle and all the occupants? Suppose you are on your way to DC. How do I (or anyone else for that matter) know you arent headed to blow up the White House or the capitol building? What a tragedy. Road blocks should be set up so anyone and anything can be searched at will by LE.

So, the 4th Amendment is making us all unsafe and brings a threat to national security not to mention mine and yours. Please let me know if you are against this so I can avoid you and your neighborhood.

I'm going to demand that LE search me, my house, my car, every chance I get just to be on the safe side. I'm also going to demand they do the same to you whether you like it or not.

Sound familiar? These are some of the same arguments (only in different words) against our 2nd Amendment. If you are an anti-2nd Amendment person and reading this because you stumbled across it, please take heed. If one of our Constitutional rights can be taken away, the same argument can be made to take any of them away.
