I personally think Napolitano is an incompetent figure head in her position and should be removed.She is there so Obama can claim he is being fair to women and minorities in his appointments. IMHO there are many aspects of National Security that should be kept discreet and out of the daily news to allow those that are hired to protect and maintain it to perform their job free of fear from restrictions and political reprisals. PC has no place in our security and it becomes more obvious daily. Things like 3 Navy Seals for alleging hitting a terrorist in the mouth facing courts marshal, the CIA accused of lying by Pelosi, Obama making a shout out at Ft, Hood, Veterans and gun owners called terrorists by an appointed HS director, This sort of political grandstanding cannot be allowed to continue if this nation is to survive and defend itself effectively from the threats that are obviously all too real.Someone in Washington needs to wake up and realize that we truly are at war, the threats are real and they need to be met head on full with all the force necessary to eradicate them.

It is time to wake up and realize we are at war with radical Islam, and act accordingly. I said this same thing a while back on this forum and several tended to not agree, but I stand by what I said. Not only are we at war with the radical Muslims, but their chief cheerleader and supporter is in OUR White House! If you recall during his campaign he said something like this (words may have differed slightly, but not by much) "America is the greatest nation on the earth, vote for me and we will change it!" Also he said in one of his books that if the political winds turned against the Muslims that he would stand with them. He said and wrote these things and there were enough stupid sheeple who STILL voted this illegal doofus into office!

The butthole in question was indeed on a terrorsit watch list as I understand it and they let him on the plane...napolotino said sunday morning that the system worked. Now this morning she's saying, uh the system didnt work. Also, he had been on the watchlist before his father reported him. Buncha moron jerks and the terrorists know it. How in hell this administration think they can "protect" us is beyond me. All they are capable of is producing a nanny state vulnerable to external threats.

I'm no fan of President Obama or his administration's policies, but I don't care to let a "fact" go unchecked. According to my own web searching, no such comment is ever made by Obama. What he did say was that he would stand behind Arab-Americans if they were being harrassed unjustly by law enforcement or others. This came about when these citizens were feeling as though their citizenship wasn't as precious as others'. I.e. Treatments similar to those faced by Japanese-Americans in WWII.

I like semantics and generally take people at what they say or write. Notice his use of words in the bold statement. He makes a few statements and then begins the last clause in bold with "and" - meaning in addition to what he wrote before the clause following "and" is included: you can read it for yourself.

On the contrary. I think he did make that statement as a separate clause from the rest of the sentence he used it in. You are paraphrasing what he said "...he would stand behind Arab-Americans if they were being harrassed unjustly by law enforcement or others..."

He said "...and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction." To me, that means almost anything and it leaves the reason that he will stand behind them pretty wide open "...political winds..."

I'm citing his direct quote and backing it up with semantic analysis. He's a lawyer. If he wanted to mean what you said he would have worded it in a different way.
