How do you like to carry your flaslight??

Post by SnakeEater »

On your gun or in your hand? I personally like to have my flahlight in my hand. Due to the fact that if I am trying to indentify friend or foe I do not want to be pointing my gun at a potential friend/family member. Never point your gun at anything you are not willing to destroy!!! I do however have lasergrips on my pistol and those are not used to indentify friend or foe and do deter BG from continued BG activities.

So how do you carry/use flashlights and do you use lasers? Please your thoughts. Which lights do you use? How do you carry when not on gun/in hand?

I use a coleman LED 115 lumens flashlight I bought at Wally World 24.95 runs on two AA batteries. I carry it in my PDA Pouch which has a flashlight holster built in.

I have a light on my FNP-45 and my shotgun, but I do agree with you about not having to point a gun at someone I don't want to shoot. I guess I need to start practicing with a handheld flashlight.

Same goes with a laser. Here's my Crimson Trace grips.

I always used to have a weapon light attached to my pistol but when I worked as a trainer I had gone to a class and we had a burgler in house drill. The students played family members as well as the burgler. well long short is the student that was playing a child was taken out by accident I jerked the trigger when he jumped into the path of my light. Since then I will not use a weapon mounted light. I carry in the protected mode flat agenst chest pointing down and use light to identify target and laser to know where round is going.

awesome Pics. Is that a Remmy 870?

don't you just love the CT grips?

This is my Pistol w/ CT Laser grips. Sorry I do not have pics of the flashlight(and I started this thread). I will take some tomorrow and post them then. Thanks

I like it I would like to get a Rem 870 Marine Magnum with a Knoxx recoil system or a Mossberg 590 with Knoxx reoil system.

yeah I think so too. I like the green laser too it is much more visible during the day. I only wish CTC would make one cuz although my XD has a rail I would have to buy all new holsters to carry it in :(

Please post pics when it comes in I would like to see it on an XD.

Flashlight: Left (off) hand, held at low chest level, parallel to left side.
Pistol: Right (strong) hand, at low ready, finger along side of trigger, safety off.
