Are there any among whomever you consider "the opposing party" that you would have to your house for dinner? that you would introduce to your family as a "friend"? any of them...? who...
Not to make fun of your choice, but to gauge who people are listing to as being "reasonable" these days...

For me, I wouldn't provide any of them a hot meal at my expense, ( or where I can see it, as we do that for them every single eff'ing day!) and until we have a system where you can respect your opposition at least for their vindication to a just cause, and hope fully allot more, we have little or no hope of any change for the better...Just my .02

So do/say something Obama... and complain about whatever he does GOP, and then lets here the complaints that no one is giving him a fair chance democrats,...blah, blah, blah. it is all deaf to me at this point...

AND with all this crap happening, Who is creating Jobs so that people can eat, have a roof, try to get an education for their kids, etc....

When local people are burning furniture to keep warm, and we are burning through billions to re-build another country...the last thing I care about is more FAA reform and rules to "protect me" from some A-hole who can't even find the fuse...

Perhaps it is just me and my wonky yardstick...but, if you are not warm and fed, and have the opportunity to provide a future for your family, and the same goes for your children, you are not going to give a SINGLE IOTA OF A DAMM what the Gov't says or doesn't say...one day, maybe one day, they might just catch on...

The "now what" is on the way. No Doubt about it. As for burning furniture to keep warm, that will have to wait until the cap and trade "SHTF"....... Obama promised during the campaign that energy bills would "skyrocket" (his exact quote)under his energy plan, (cap and trade), but that would teach americans to conserve. That will all be a part of the "now what" you so aptly fear. Like I said before, I'm no cheerleader for the GOP, but the DEMS are far worse. I am all for pitchforks and torches, and I really think we may end up there. Both houses up there on the hill are full of fat assed criminals in my book too. They,(both parties) will sell us all down the river if they can keep some sort of control over us, even if its at the behest of a foreign entity. I really believe that. We may be looking straight into the same kind of bleak dilemma that the founders we all seem to respect so much were forced to face. My hope is that we have enough patriots left in this country to overcome it.

I was doing some work around the house and Obama came on and started to tell us what had happened on Christmas, and I said " oh good thing he is our leader......and so I went back to what I was doing and eventually the news went to IRAN and the uprising....and the wife said " you know I'm surprised Israel doesn't plant someone to take that guy out"......and I said yeah, me too....... and then it dawned on me.... and I said "oh you're talking about ahmadinejad?.....

How about watching the people of Iran fight the police with bare hands...? It is damm impressive watching the common man of Iran, (read: Iraninan patriot) barehanded fight for what they believe in to the point of sacrificing thier own saftey to get it...

having to cover thier faces as the gov't there, if they can identify you, will round up your family if they can't get you...

i can only imagine the sheer size of your balls and personal chutzpah it takes to square off, by choice, with a trained man in body armor, armed with a myriad of weapons, for an ideal or belief...with your bare hands...

and i have no doubt of their eventual triumph, only wonder how long and at what cost...

So then, A moment of thought and prayer for the fighters of the Great American Revolution and the fighters of the War of 1812 ( and every conflict since then too...) for making it , generally, that I do not have to live that experience... I , and my family thank you.
