How lucky are we to live in Virginia?. Read this
We all know how difficult it is for law-adiding gun owners in Illinois to practice their right to keep and bear arms, but did you know it could get even worse?. Read this article and see what a candidate on the "right" wants to do to Illinois gun owners rights.

Guess he wont have to worry about - if he becomes governor he and his will have armed guards and an escort, plus a high tech security system, limo service, etc, etc, etc. Maybe he'll get to visit old Blago in d big house - if he even ever gets there.

they maybe nut jobs, but we had better take notice. A cancer like that can spread quickly. We need to double our efforts so that it doesn't happen here in Virginia

I grew up in Illinois - the cornfields of central Illinois, that is. Chicago is the cancer in Illinois. Normal people in Illinois are great people. I *hate* when I tell someone I grew up in Illinois and they say "Oh, Chicago?"06bolton5pt3 wrote:haha i put Illinois on the same page as California, New Jersey and New York awhile ago. It's all about the people in the cities against the folks who just want to be left alone in the country. "Class warfare", I believe they call it. Those who work for a living and pay taxes (the Producer Class) against those who feel entitled to government handouts paid for by taxes (the Entitlement Class).
So, we have it in Illinois - hard working farmers and workers throughout the state who own guns, go hunting and work hard for a living against the entitlement class in Chicago and other large cities in Illinois. unfortunately, it seems that as cities grow, so does the entitlement class. I fear that we're fighting a losing battle, and just as Virginia is Ground Zero for the positive side of the gun rights battle (especially with our newly elected Republican leaders), Illinois is the polar opposite.

Illinois has bred two of the worst offenders against the Constitution in all of our short history.
First Lincoln. Now Oscumma.
Is it any surprise that a cretin of this magnitude has managed a political career in such a state as to even suggest he might be elected governor?
The reason the South will survive the collapse is because the yankee remnants will have surrendered their arms to the government by electing cowards, liars and thieves to rule over them.
Hopefully (a promising beginning with McDonnell) that will not be the case here in VA.

I too was born in Illinois, but it was SOUTHERN Illinois. I was always a Southerner, Confederate and Rebel at heart, and in about 1982 my work transferred me to western Tennessee, then in 1988 I finally got to put by backside where my heart had always been and transferred to southern Virginia. I try to avoid even driving through The Peoples Republic of Illinois. We have relatives living in Illinois as well as Missouri and when we go back to visit I make arrangements for the ones from Illinois to meet us for lunch in south St/ Louis County. I look where Virginia reciprocity agreements, and that is where I travel.
As long as Illinois is controlled by the corrupt political machine run by Richard Daley and spewing out the likes of Obama things will NEVER change until the people get enough and force them from office one way or the other. Of course, class warfare is part of the plan of Obama, Bloomberg, Clinton, Shumer, Boxer, Feinstein and the rest of the Marxist/Socialist/Communist bunch of trash.

I read an article where several people were asked about someone beating Daley. The general response was "aint possible. theres always been a daley in charge and probably always will be."
No wonder they're a police state.

Bloomberg is one we really have to watch out for here in VA. He is really targeting our state and if you've read the news reports on the CD street vendor that was shot and killed last week Bloomberg is stating the gun "was stolen" from Richmond and the guy had several VA gun dealers business cards with him at the time of the shooting.

bloomberg the twit knows if he can take us down then many more will follow...the fact that he spent $250M on his recent mayoral campaign and only won by a slim margin is telling though. he's desperate to hold onto his political power. I wont be surprised if he bans together with the far left guys like soros to try and take the democratic bid away from obama for the 2012 race. given the choice between he and obama I'd rather have obama any day.viiiball wrote:Bloomberg is one we really have to watch out for here in VA. If the SCOTUS rules correctly next March all that nonsense coming out of Ryans mouth will be just more hot air. The McDonald case is going to be the catylst that either makes or breaks the gun issue in lot of places. One scary part of a nitwit like Ryan is if he gets the majority of the support,, that will be something to take notice of. Doubtful it would affect VA much but that kind of cancer could spread slowly to other anti gun areas and become a very large problem for all of us.

As for anyone defeating Daley in Chicago, remember it was in Chicago where the motto: "Vote early, vote often" originated. They also adhere to the Stalin doctrine: "It doesn't matter how the people vote...it is who COUNTS the vote that makes the difference." The Chicago corrupt political machine, including Obama, Daley, Rahm Emmanuel and the rest of that bunch could hide behind a corkscrew and not cast a shadow! I for one am VERY glad to NOT live there and would not live there if someone gave me a house free of charge!
